why here

After many years of cooking and eating, I consider myself an expert. Course there are probably 3-4 billion other experts on the earth, but that does not daunt me.

What I want to do here is start a discussion of the best and simplest recipes - the dish that you created one night when famished to the point of faintness with a mob of hungry howling mouths to feed. Fast, fearless, cuisine. That became an overnight sensation in your food circles.

Enough said. Here's my favorite. Like it? Share!

KILLER GREEN BEANS

Whole fresh green beans - blue lake, or small ones are best, but they all work
Garlic - granulated or fresh, minced
Olive oil
Salt

Stir fry beans in oil over medium high heat, tossing as they cook. A wok works great, but so does a regular non-stick skillet.

Add garlic and salt about half way through. More is better than less. Cook until just done but still crisp.

Cool slightly.

Serve. No forks needed. Kids love these. Sort of like a green french fry.
